Riverside Fire and Rescue Service started back in 2010, at
the time we had a single fire appliance and a handful of operational staff and even
less support staff who attended a few small events and shows throughout the
year.
The demand for our services began to grow as did the need
for a bigger and more skilled fleet of appliances and staff to work from them.
Over the years RFRS have faced some challenging situations
but with our amazing team, determination and trust we have overcome every one
of them.
Now in 2017 we have a fleet of 9 fire appliances and support
vehicles which between them have a whole host of skills and uses. We also have
a larger and more diverse crew of operational staff and support staff who are
training to become operational. Not only do we have a bigger team, we also
offer an even wider variety of fire safety services.
As for the shows, we attend bigger and more popular shows
with even more appliances this allows us to show the public what we can offer
them and it also helps us get to know new customers.
